Kim East Cognitive Hypnotherapy
Helping you find your way to overcome anxiety
Working together online and in person
We are often so focused on our problems that we are unable to imagine ever being able to do things differently.
I can help you make changes that will allow you to concentrate on being the best version of you. Whether that means overcoming a fear, phobia or limiting belief, giving up an unhelpful habit, or regaining your self-confidence, it is all possible.
Helping you find your way…
Giving you back control
While you may not believe it right now, the answers to your problem are inside you. Once you know where to find them, you will be able to create the future you want.
A tailored approach
Your problem will be unique to you, so your solution will be too. This is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. Instead it will be tailored to your needs, focusing on what is right for you.
The toolkit you need
I will teach you the skills you need to move forward, supported by a bespoke MP3 recording to reinforce what you’ve learned in our sessions together.
Asking for help, and being prepared to talk about your problem, takes courage.
I provide a calm and safe environment in which you can share what you need.
Do you look at other people, wondering where they get their self-confidence from and wish you could be like them?
That was me for as long as I can remember. Even though I successfully held down responsible jobs, ranging from international banking to running busy school offices, I was constantly striving for perfection in case someone tapped me on the shoulder to tell me I’d been found out. It was exhausting and it made work unenjoyable.
Deep down, I also knew I wanted to do something more rewarding and worthwhile. I’d always enjoyed helping people and often found that colleagues would come and talk to me about their problems. I began to wonder if training to be a counsellor or for another talking therapy might offer me the challenge I was missing, but I still didn’t have the self-belief that someone like me could do something like that!
In the end, it was Cognitive Hypnotherapy that helped me understand where my lack of confidence stemmed from and why I never felt good enough. By learning to think differently, I have been able to make changes in my life enabling me to move forward.
Now I’d like to help you do the same.

What people say about Kim East Cognitive Hypnotherapy
…I would definitely recommend working with Kim. She puts you at your ease very quickly and was easy to talk to. I felt that she understood what I was talking about and her suggestions were very helpful.
The positive results I achieved by working with Kim came about far quicker than I had imagined. I still can’t quite believe how far I have come in such a short space of time.
I feel more positive, the limitations and constraints I placed upon myself have gone and I am proud of what I have been able to achieve – I only wish I had done this sooner!
I have spent my whole life thinking I am not good enough and putting everyone else first. I blamed my insecurities on being overweight and was fed up of feeling miserable which led me to ask for help. I believed that life would be so much better if I lost weight and that I would be a more confident, happier person.
I had reservations about going to see a Cognitive Hypnotherapist initially and was a bit nervous about what to expect. I found Kim to be a lovely, calm and caring person who quickly made me feel at ease. The consultations could be quite thought provoking and they gradually made me start to view things differently. The follow up emails and audio files were also instrumental in changing my way of thinking. I realised that how I felt about myself was not purely down to my size and my relationship with food. I have learned to be a lot kinder to myself and not beat myself up too much if I have a ‘bad’ day.
I am still a work in progress but Kim has taught me to believe that I deserve to be happy. I truly believe that seeing her has made me a better, more contented person who is much more appreciative of life now and I cannot thank her enough.
